Impact on Community

As a result of not having access to places that sell and provide healthy and nutritious food within close distance to their neighborhoods, the corner stores and small food markets that residents are able to easily access sell food that is inexpensive, however, extremely unhealthy. Implementing fresh, accessible and affordable food options within lower-income neighborhoods across Philadelphia ranking 9th in the nation regarding obesity will hopefully begin to drop.
